Summer Web Design Internship Position

Childrens Hospital Los Angeles is seeking a summer web design intern to work with our
fund raising team on web and social media initiatives. You’ll get hands-on experience and the
opportunity to build your portfolio by working on concept development, researching
e-philanthropy best practices, and writing and editing web copy. This is an unpaid position
with the opportunity to gain firsthand knowledge of the nonpro fit field.
Candidate should be pro ficient in Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver and Flash - InDesign is
a plus – and have basic understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript and ActionScript. The ideal candidate will be a college student entering a junior or senior year in a graphic design program or equivalent and a self-starter with attention to detail.
Candidate should be available from the beginning of June through the middle of August for
12-18 hours a week. A workspace will be provided in our Glendale offi ce from noon-5pm
each day, however, telecommuting may be possible as well.
Our hospital provides the highest quality health care for children who are the sickest and most
seriously injured in our region and beyond. Each year, we treat more than 93,000 children
who need care that is so complex, it can only be provided by our medical experts.
